ephemera west 1: natural history: tourist

One writer's digital observations of nature/culture interactions. Images from the National Museum of Natural History, Washington, DC, July, 2008. The images document removed presence, of both the observed animals and the implicit observer. Captions are intentionally non-scientific and generic, in keeping with the innocence of the museum experience.

"Natural History: Tourist" is part of an ongoing photographic project, Ephemera West. Click on the links on the right for other elements in the project.

High quality prints of the images are available for purchase. (Printer: Epson Stylus Photo R2400; paper: Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy) Prices are variable depending on the size of the image, but are quite reasonable, all fifty dollars or under.
